How much of a risk is Ruiz, Jr. for Joshua?

Anthony Joshua has found an opponent to replace Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller on June 1, 2019. That opponent will be heavyweight contender Andy ‘The Destroyer’ Ruiz, Jr. Ruiz, Jr. has only lost once in his professional boxing career to a very good Joseph Parker.

The Parker vs. Ruiz, Jr. fight took place back in December of 2016, and it was for the vacant WBO heavyweight title. That fight resulted in a close majority decision victory for Parker. Ruiz, Jr. loss that fight, but he gave Parker all he could handle.

Now Joshua will be looking to take out Ruiz, Jr. en route to increasing his status as the “A” side in a future mega-fight with ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder. Ruiz, Jr. on the other hand, will get another shot at heavyweight supremacy. This is a good risk for Joshua.

Ruiz, Jr., and Joshua are not too fond of each other which should make for a great fight. Joshua vs. Ruiz, Jr. will be for Joshua’s WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO heavyweight titles. So, Boxing World, how much of a risk is Ruiz, Jr. for Joshua? Leave a comment at the bottom of this post.
