Dream Fight: Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Errol Spence, Jr.

Now the boxing world knows that Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, Jr. and Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence, Jr. sparred against one another at Mayweather’s boxing gym a while ago. It is rumored that in that sparring Spence made Mayweather raise his boxing game in those sessions.

Though it was sparring, Spence did well in the sparring against Mayweather. That is cool, but it is nothing like fighting on the big stage. There are a lot of boxing fans that wonder what would have happened if Spence fought Mayweather before he retired.

That is a fight that a lot of the boxing world would like to see. After one of Spence’s fights before Mayweather retired, Spence was asked by the boxing analyst who he would like to fight next. Spence jokingly said, “Mayweather,” and laughed it off. Did he mean it?

It would have been a tough task to challenge Mayweather then given how Spence was still trying to grow in the sport of boxing. Since Mayweather’s retirement, Spence has become one of the best Pound 4 Pound fighters in the sport.

With that said, how would Spence fare against a primed Mayweather given that Spence is now in his prime? Prime for prime who would win? Check out Potshot Boxing’s (PSB) latest boxing poll and vote.

LOL! I hear you Bro! Prime for Prime I agree. Floyd Mayweather, Jr in his prime would have beaten Errol Spence, Jr. easily. Spence brings effective pressure, but remember what I told you, what fighters need to do to beat Mayweather is his biggest attribute; that is dealing with pressure. With that said in Mayweather’s prime no one from 154 down to 140 could beat him in his prime.
