The David ‘Red Flag’ Benavidez vs. Jose ‘Bolivita’ Uzcategui super-middleweight fight scheduled for August 28, 2021, has been postponed. The reason for the postponement was due to Benavidez testing positive for COVID-19.

Benavidez was looking to take one step closer to fighting Canelo Alvarez in the future with a win over Uzcategui. His dreams of facing Canelo will have to wait for now. The Benavidez vs. Uzcategui will be scheduled at a later date.
