Recently, the WBC announced that they will be putting together a super-flyweight tournament for WBC super-flyweight supremacy. The four fighters that will be involved in the super-flyweight tournament will be Juan Francisco Estrada, Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, and Carlos ‘Principe’ Cuadras.

Now, all of these fighters have fought each other at some point in their professional boxing careers. The last fight in this merry-go-round took place back on March 13, 2021, when Juan Francisco Estrada and Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez fought in a rematch.
In that fight, Estrada and Gonzalez put on a 2021 fight of the year candidate affair. In the end, Estrada was awarded the close 12th round split-decision victory. Once the WBC super-flyweight tournament starts, it will be a trilogy fight between Estrada and Gonzalez, and Srisaket Sor Rungvisai will square off against Carlos ‘Principe’ Cuadras.
