Shawn Porter announces his retirement from Boxing!

Shawn ‘Showtime’ Porter and Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford put on an epic performance in last night’s WBO welterweight title fight. The fight ended in the 10th round as Porter was knocked down twice by Terence Crawford. This prompted Porter’s Father and Trainer Kenny Porter to throw in the towel.

The stoppage by Kenny Porter was questionable to a lot of the boxing world. Nevertheless, Crawford was awarded the 10th round TKO victory. With the win, Crawford retained his WBO welterweight title.

Crawford is the first fighter to stop Shawn Porter in a fight. During the post-fight interview, Porter did not criticize his father for stopping the fight. Instead, he proceeded to let the boxing world know that he was announcing his retirement.

Porter has faced all of the top welterweights in the world other than the great Manny Pacquiao. He has been trouble for every opponent he has faced. If this is the end of Shawn Porter’s professional boxing career, he will go down as one of the best all-action fighters ever.

The boxing world will still be graced by Porter’s presence in the boxing world. With that said, he is becoming a great boxing analyst. Hats off to Shawn ‘Showtime’ Porter for a great professional boxing career.

Looking forward to Shawn Porter thriving as a great boxing analyst in the future.
