He has not fought since 2008 when he got stopped by Manny ‘PacMan’ Pacquiao. De La Hoya is currently 47 years old and is already an International Boxing Hall of Famer. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame back in 2014.

De La Hoya is the head man for one of the best promotional companies in boxing “Golden Boy Promotions.” So, the question is why would De La Hoya want to step back into the ring and fight?

Passion. That’s the only reason someone like De La Hoya who seems to have everything would want to return to the boxing ring. Which weight division will De La Hoya return to?

How will De La Hoya fare against these up and coming great fighters that are in their primes right now? Only time will tell.
