Former 4-division boxing champion Mikey Garcia announced his retirement on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Garcia will end his professional boxing career with 40 wins, 2 losses, and 30 wins by knockout.

Garcia was known as a great counterpuncher who always controlled the pace in the ring. He will go down as one of the best counterpunching fighters. Garcia fought a lot of great fighters over his professional boxing career.

Notable wins for Garcia were against fighters Orlando ‘Siri’ Salido, ‘Juanma’ Juan Manuel Lopez, Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner, ‘Samurai’ Sergey Lipinets, and ‘The Next Generation’ Jesse Vargas.

Mikey Garcia’s one notable loss was to current WBC, WBA, and IBF welterweight champion Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence, Jr. Garcia will go down as one of the best fighters of this generation. With that said, is Mikey Garcia a hall of fame fighter?
