The Anthony Joshua vs. Kubrat Pulev heavyweight title fight will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. Joshua suffered the first loss of his professional boxing career when he was upset by Andy ‘The Destroyer’ Ruiz, Jr. back on June 1, 2019.

The upset was viewed by many in the boxing world as the 2nd biggest upset in boxing history, (Biggest upset: Tyson vs. Douglas.) Joshua bounced back from the upset loss and regained his titles in the rematch with Ruiz, Jr. on December 7, 2019.

Kubrat Pulev has been a threat to the heavyweight division since he started his professional boxing career. He has held heavyweight titles abroad such as the IBF International, European, and WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight titles.

Pulev did get a shot at heavyweight glory back on November 15, 2014, when he faced off against then heavyweight king ‘Dr. Steelhammer’ Wladimir Klitschko.
In that fight, Klitschko knocked him out in round 5.

It is the only loss on Pulev’s professional boxing record. Now Pulev will get a second shot at heavyweight glory when he takes on heavyweight sensation Anthony Joshua. Pulev is hungry to gain heavyweight glory so Joshua better pack his lunch to this matchup or we could see another upset on June 20, 2020.

An upset on June 20, 2020, would not match up to last year’s upset of Joshua, but it would be an upset if Pulev beats Joshua. It’s a tale of 1-loss professional boxing records heading into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium boxing ring.

Which fighter will keep their 1-loss professional boxing record intact?
