Erislandy Lara or Brian Castano?

The last time ‘The American Dream’ Erislandy Lara was in the ring, he faced off against a young and hungry Jarrett ‘Swift’ Hurd. The Erislandy Lara vs. Jarrett Hurd WBA/IBF unification junior middleweight title fight was considered as 2018’s Fight of the Year by a lot of boxing experts.

Lara showed a lot of heart in that fight as he used his good footwork and counterpunching to almost pull off the victory against Hurd. It was Hurd, however, who would score a knockdown on Lara in the 12th round of that great fight that was the deciding factor to a Jarrett Hurd win.

Now Lara will be returning to the ring on March 2, 2019, against another young and hungry undefeated junior middleweight. That opponent is WBA (Regular) junior middleweight champion Brian ‘El Boxi’ Castano.

Castano will be heading into the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on March 2, 2019, looking to score the biggest win of his professional boxing career. Erislandy Lara was considered by most boxing experts as the best junior middleweight in the world until he lost to Jarrett Hurd back on April 7, 2018.

With that said, Lara is looking to get back on track in the junior middleweight division by defeating the undefeated Castano. Who you got Boxing World? ‘The American Dream’ Erislandy Lara or Brian ‘El Boxi’ Castano? Check out Potshot Boxing’s (PSB) latest boxing poll and vote.
