On May 11, 2019, Jarrett ‘Swift’ Hurd will look to continue his climb as one of the best fighters in the sport when he takes on Julian ‘J Rock’ Williams. The Jarrett Hurd vs. Julian Williams fight will take place in Hurd’s backyard at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia.

Hurd will be making the 2nd defense of his unified WBA, IBF, and IBO junior middleweight titles. Jarrett Hurd’s coming out party came in April last year when he battled ‘The American Dream’ Erislandy Lara to a close 12th round split-decision victory. That fight was dubbed “2018 Fight of the Year” by a lot of boxing experts and writers.
Jarrett Hurd continues to use his overwhelming aggression to wilt his opponents and that boxing formula will most likely continue against the crafty Williams. Julian Williams was on the rise as becoming a main fixture in Boxing but ran into a speed bump in Jermall ‘Hit Man’ Charlo back in December of 2016.
Charlo defeated Williams by 5th round KO victory to capture the IBF junior middleweight title. After suffering the first loss of his professional boxing career, Williams picked himself up and has put together a 4-fight winning streak. Now Williams will once again get another crack at the junior middleweight titles and should give Hurd a good fight.

The Hurd and William fight should be a great barn burner, both fighters like to fight in the pocket, and posses a problem if one catches the other sleeping, this fight will come down to nutrition and the one who wants it the most will come out victorious.
