The boxing year of 2016 got off to a great start as Deontay ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder scored a devastating 9th round knockout of Artur Szpilka in what might become 2016’s knockout of the year by year’s end. After Deontay Wilder’s show-stopping knockout, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury climbed into the ring and challenged Wilder to a fight.

Now I would love to see that fight given that Wilder has a mandatory challenger for his WBC heavyweight title in Alexander Povetkin that he could lose; while Tyson Fury has to prove himself in a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko in a fight he could lose. So, what this all adds up to? Well, 2 fighters in Wilder and Fury who could be strapless in the end and would have no other choice but to bang with one another.
