Canelo Alvarez. Gennady Golovkin. Canelo vs. GGG 2! The most anticipated rematch of the year is right around the corner! After viewing the first fight between these two great fighters, you can make an argument as to why each fighter should have had their hands raised in the first fight.  Fast forward to September 15, 2018, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Neither fighter is looking to leave the fight in the judges’ hands.

Both fighters do not like each other after Canelo tested positive for the PED clenbuterol. GGG feels that Canelo knew what he was doing. Canelo, on the other hand, states he was unaware.  Who knows. It does not matter because clenbuterol will not be the reason for Canelo if he wins on September 15. On to the rematch prediction. Canelo vs. GGG 2 will more than likely play out like Canelo vs. GGG 1.

Canelo will have a huge change to win this fight if he can keep GGG at the end of his jabs and counterpunches in the middle of the ring.  That is just hard to do against GGG because he just keeps coming and coming with that relentless pressure. Do not count out GGG’s boxing skills as well. GGG uses a great jab, does a great job of cutting off the ring, and imposing his will on his opponents. He did that in the middle rounds of the first fight against Canelo.

Which fighter will improve and make the bigger adjustment in Canelo vs. GGG 2? It has been said that in rematches that the better boxer usually makes the better adjustments, thus, rematches bold well for the better boxer. Canelo is the better boxer.  In this fight, however, lightning will strike twice as GGG will be able to back Canelo against those ropes again and bang him out with hard power-punches.

When the dust settles this time, it will be ‘GGG’ getting his hand raised, thus, breaking the Great Bernard ‘The Alien’ Hopkins’ middleweight title defense record.
