Canelo is planning to return to the ring this year. The target date for his return to the boxing ring is December 19, 2020, and the opponent that he and his team is targeting is current IBF super-middleweight champion Caleb ‘Sweethands’ Plant.
Canelo vs. Plant for December 19 would be a great fight if made. With Canelo getting released from Golden Boy Promotions, it is a big deal.
Canelo’s future is bright, given that now he can fight who he wants and whenever he wants.
