Here is Potshot Boxing’s Prediction for the upcoming Adrien Broner vs. Carlos Molina fight!!
Here is a fight in which both fighters are coming off of losses in their last fights; Carlos Molina, (17-1-1, 1 no contest, 7 KOs) was unable to finish his fight against Amir Khan as the fight was stopped in the 10th round; and Adrien “The Problem” Broner, (27-1-0, 22 KOs) got flat out beat up by Marcos Maidana in a stunning upset.
Now these two fighters meet in a fight in which all of the pressure is on Broner given the fact that he has been dubbed “The Next Floyd Mayweather” for the past 2 to 3 years. Molina should go into this fight with guns blazin’ due to the fact that if he loses this fight with Broner, the boxing world would not judge him for it.
Broner on the other hand have a whole lot to lose if he lays an egg in this fight against Molina.
Prediction
I expect for Broner to use his jab, elusive skills and power to overwhelm Molina as Molina is simply the right guy for Broner at the moment. Molina will be the smaller fighter in this fight and is not a big puncher so Broner will not have worry about getting caught with anything big; thus, I expect for Broner to clown and have fun with Molina given that Molina had problems in his last fight dealing with the superior speed and elusiveness of Amir Khan; and Broner has the same type of speed and elusiveness.
In order for Molina to have a chance in this fight, he will have to try and outwork Broner like Marcos Maidana was successfully able to do in Broner’s last fight. I expect for Molina to take a page out of Maidana’s boxing playbook and try to get to Broner’s body in hopes of wearing down the elusive-aggressive Broner, but Molina is simply not big enough to disrupt the offense that Broner will bring to him on Saturday night.
Broner should win this fight easy as I will be shocked if the boxing world see otherwise.
