This episode of All Access: Mayweather vs. Maidana II – Episode 3 starts out with typical Floyd Mayweather, Jr. boosting about how he won a mere $182,000 during College Football Day. Anyway, the real story in this episode of All Access was Floyd Mayweather, Jr. inviting Marcos Maidana’s former strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza into his boxing gym.

All Access: Mayweather vs. Maidana II - Episode 3 - Potshot Boxing

Ariza is well known for working many years as Manny Pacquiao’s strength and conditional coach. It was not an invitation for Ariza to join the Mayweather camp or anything like that. Ariza was simply at Mayweather’s boxing gym to observe Mayweather’s work ethic and he was very impressed with Mayweather as he stated he knows now why Mayweather is where he is in boxing.

Word of Ariza visiting Mayweather’s boxing gym got back to Marcos Maidana’s camp and they were not pleased that Ariza went over to observe Mayweather. One thing I am sure a lot of us did not know and that is that Ariza still lives with Robert Garcia, the trainer of Marcos Maidana so Garcia along with Brandon Rios, another fighter that Garcia trains felt that Ariza was low down for going over to the opposition to sit in on a training session.

In this episode of All Access, we also learned that Robert Garcia’s father will also be in Maidana’s corner come September 13.

With 8 days to go to the fight, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. allowed an outsider to film his sparring session for the first time ever. Mayweather wanted to finally show the world what it takes to be the best fighter in the world.

The episode would take yet another money spin as Mayweather was shown in the episode lavishing on his entourage with extravagate gifts and whatnots. The bill would come up to over 20 grand, and Mayweather said that he was just getting started. Again anyway, the episode continues.

Maidana should be in tip top shape for September 13 because the food that is getting cooked up for him not only looks finger licking good, but also healthy as well. Robert Garcia claims that the work that Maidana put in for the fight is done and he is in great shape.   The Maidana camp simply wants Maidana to rest and prepare for the fight with Mayweather.

During a sit down at lunch with his camp, Maidana was reminded by his camp that he looks great, and they wanted to reassure him that all of the greats lost a fight so why not Floyd. Maidana’s camp drove home the fact the Mayweather is not unbeatable, and this nugget of information did seem to motivate Maidana.

After lunch, Maidana would treat his camp to a fun-filled afternoon of go-kart racing.

Meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather would have to deal with media day at his boxing gym. Media day is something that always occur before Mayweather goes into battle with his opponent. During the interview, Mayweather claimed that Maidana was dirty in the first fight. Mayweather went on to describe how Maidana was dirty by stating that Maidana threw knees, low blows, and headbutts.

One person in the media asked Mayweather if he expects Maidana to do the same thing come fight night and Floyd answered stating that he does not know, but all he can do is come out and fight like Floyd Mayweather.

There were several other questions that the media asked Floyd Mayweather like conditioning for example, but let’s move ahead to another part of this episode which showed Mayweather throwing his Pre-Fight Money Team Barbeque and softball game. For the softball game, Mayweather would invite the Mountain Ridge All Stars to join in the Money Team fun.

The Mountain Ridge All Stars are a group of 12 year olds who placed 4th in the 2014 Little League World Series.

With 6 days left to go until fight night, Maidana sparred one last time. Maidana completed his 8 weeks of training and he and his camp were preparing to head to Vegas for this Saturday’s night showdown.

As the episode of All Access: Mayweather vs. Maidana II – Episode 3 would come to an end, it shows Mayweather’s camp throwing him an appreciation party. We also know now that going into the fight on Saturday night, Maidana is no longer a long shot to win this fight. Robert Garcia stated that Maidana grew up in the streets and fought guys with guns so why should Mayweather scare him.

Mayweather said that he’s been a champion since the ’90s and he believes in his skills, but he cannot overlook Marcos Maidana. Mayweather would leave the boxing world with one caveat however, and that is he feels that he is the greatest fighter in the history of boxing and that there will never be another Floyd Mayweather, Jr. I cannot wait for Saturday night!!
