The stage was set for Klitschko to give the O2 World boxing crowd in Altona, Hamburg, Germany another routine performance, but the Klitschko train got derailed momentarily as Klitschko suffered a torn left biceps injury during his sparring session.
The biceps injury that Klitschko suffered requires him to sit out at least 4 weeks which caused his mandatory championship fight on September 6, 2014 with Pulev to be put on hold.
