Roy Jones, Jr. is at it again!

On February 17, 2017, The Great Roy Jones, Jr. will enter the ring once again.  I thought he fought his last fight last year in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida.  It would have been a nice finish line fight for a great legend.

Jones, however, will enter the ring at age 48 to take on Bobby ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Gunn.  For what it’s worth, Jones and Gunn will be duking it out for a vacant WBF cruiserweight title.  Now, it’s not a major title, but at least Jones is fighting for something.

roy jones, jr. vs. bobby gunn - Potshot Boxing

Hopefully, the Chase Center in Wilmington, Delaware will be the final scene of this great legend that is Roy Jones, Jr.  Jones needs to hang the boxing gloves up in my humble opinion, but if Jones feels he still have the catlike reflexes to continue on, then who I am to judge.

Will Roy Jones, Jr. survive the undefeated bare-knuckle champion that is Bobby Gunn?  Well, Gunn has not really fared well inside of the boxing ring lately, so Jones has a huge chance of getting the job done on February 17.

I am sure the boxing world is not really thrilled about this fight.  The only time I will be thrilled about the Great Roy Jones, Jr. in the future and beyond will be when he stops fighting and bless the boxing world with his high Boxing IQ as one of the best boxing analysts in all of Boxing.

Cant wait to see Roy Jones go to his old box of tricks and pull out that old chiken wing!Lol!
Im always facinated to see RJ2 fight, especially now since hes’s way past his prime. What is it that drives this future hall of fame boxer? Is it the money…love of sport…recapturing that moment? What ever it is, RJ2 continue to inspire me and those in the boxing community.
