On February 8, 2018, The Great Roy Jones, Jr. will step into the boxing ring for the final time in front of his hometown crowd in Pensacola, Florida. His opponent, Scott ‘Cujo’ Sigmon, is from my mother’s hometown of Bedford, Virginia. This is a great opportunity for Sigmon to score a victory against a great legend like Roy Jones, Jr. Can he do it? The winner of this fight will walk away with the vacant WBU (German) cruiserweight title.
If Jones wins the WBU cruiserweight title, will he really call it a career? We all know by now Boxing World that Roy Jones, Jr. does want he wants so you never know what to expect from this great legend. If this really is Roy Jones, Jr.’s last fight, however, we will say goodbye to one of the best elusive fighters in Boxing history! Thank you Roy Jones, Jr. for all you have given to the sport of Boxing as a fighter, and for all you will give to the sport moving forward.
