Former Heavyweight Champ ‘Dr. Steelhammer’ Wladimir Klitschko announces his retirement from Boxing. Klitschko ends he boxing career with an impressive professional boxing record of 64 wins and 5 losses, with 53 coming by way of knockout. He successfully defended the WBO, WBA (Super), IBF, and IBO heavyweight titles simultaneously 9 straight times before losing the titles to Tyson Fury in November of 2015.
He has been a heavyweight champion off and on since 1998, and has been a steady Pound 4 Pound fighter for years. Klitschko was well known for the simple jab, jab, jab, right cross. He used that 6 foot 7 height to frustrate and overwhelm most of his opponents.
Klitschko will definitely be a boxing hall of famer one day. Boxing World, where do you rank Wladimir Klitschko among the all-time great heavyweights? Please feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of this post.
