Well, somebody’s 1 loss must go as Daniel “The Golden Child” Jacobs and Jarrod “Left Jab” Fletcher will face off in front of Jacobs home crown at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. There will be a vacant WBA (Regular) middleweight title at stake for the winner of this fight and given this boxing matchup, I expect for this fight to give boxing fans a special treat come Saturday night.
Daniel Jacobs has been on a roll as of late, knocking out the last 7 opponents that dare challenge him in the ring. Jerrod Fletcher on the other hand is riding a 6-fight win streak of his own which includes 2 TKO’s and a stoppage during the streak.
Both of these guys are heavy handed which should produce some great fireworks on Saturday night. I expect for Fletcher to use his nickname “Left Jab” to try and control the pace of the fight. As long as the fight goes I feel the better it will be for Fletcher given that Jacobs have not been past 6 rounds in any fight during his professional boxing career.
So in a nutshell, Fletcher will try and box while Jacobs will try to seek and destroy. I expect for Jacobs to come out and start throwing some bombs in hopes of landing something big on Fletcher and getting him out of there early. Can this happen? Well, if Fletcher cannot get this fight to go past 6 rounds then I predict that it will be Jacobs that will be doing the knocking out en route to gaining a world title in the process.
Prediction: Daniel Jacobs by Knockout
